Welcome to my Blog

I picked a sort of library looking theme for my blog. I don't remember what it was called. You see that book on the left? The one in shrink-wrap. It's on the second shelf down from the top. What's up with that? It's not the only one that's shrink-wrapped, but it's the most obvious because it has a seam down the middle of the spine. There are several placed all around. This looks like a generic university library because of the shelving and age of the books, but it must be some kind of used bookstore. Anyway, welcome to the used bookstore. Some of our books are shrink-wrapped. None of them have titles on the spine. Or maybe the title is in translucent braille. Welcome to my used braille bookstore. My blog's not in braille, though. I wish it could be. A braille internet would be so amazing. I can picture a Nook-like ebook device that has a rubbery screen with moving parts behind it that form words in braille, and a touchscreen below that forms buttons with braille labels. It would actually be a new kind of touchscreen that requires that you actually push on it to activate a button, since you need to lightly touch it to feel the braille. My used braille bookstore doesn't sell these, because they haven't been invented yet. They're still working on the braille internet. There's a braille font, but that doesn't really help anybody, except people that want to sight-read braille. That might be a useful skill, if you are a sighted person in a used braille bookstore.

Edit: Someone brought to my attention the fact that used books probably wouldn't be shrink-wrapped. So I guess this store contains old books that are not necessarily used. Some of them might be new in the wrapper. "New" referring to condition. All of these books look old, which is why I first assumed this is a library. But I can't lend NIW (new in wrapper) books. Unless I have a library of collectibles. Such a library would be for people that want collectibles displayed in their home for a short period of time, perhaps like a rotating display of pieces from a collection, but they do not have the space to store them or the money to purchase the items. Unwrapping the books would hurt their collectibility, because gazing at the item through a film of shrink-wrap and knowing in your mind that it's NIW somehow is more fun than actually reading the book. I don't understand that, but I understand that that's how collecting works. So maybe I could have a library of old collectible books that one checks out for display purposes only. I guess it's for people that want to give others the impression that they're the type that just buys a book for the purpose of displaying and giving others impressions about what kind of books they collect but don't read. I bet my library would be more popular if I had comic books. I don't think many people want NIW braille books. Does anyone make braille comics? Maybe they're first editions. The unwrapped ones are signed by the author, by poking the back of the first page to make indentations in it. You need a credit card on file to borrow from this library.
